OLD CELL PHONES
Don’t know what to do with those old cell phones?  Bring them in and
place them in the box provided on the shelf across from the mailboxes.
They will be used by Cornerstone Among Women in their fantastic
Resale Shop.

STEWARDSHIP CORNER
By God’s grace, we are given the high honor of being God’s stewards.  Being Christian stewards involves the way we view life and use God’s blessings.  A steward is someone who takes care of another person’s property for the benefit of the owner.  In Genesis chapter one, God makes mankind the steward over all He has made.  “And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens…” (Verse 26).  He has given us, along with other Christians, the responsibility of taking care of His property.  Our purpose as stewards is again stated in the second chapter of Genesis.  “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it” (Genesis 2:15).  We are the managers and caretakers of God’s creation.

USED EYE GLASSES
Recently, Kevin Barnard took lotsa used glasses to Cuyahoga County College and left them for the Optical Program Director.  The used eye glasses will be put to use by students in the Optical Program and then sent to other countries for distribution to the needy.  Once at their destination it is reported that people travel long distances on foot there they will get a basic eye exam and will be fitted with the “new” eye glasses.  It has also been reported that many of the people receiving these eye glasses are seen in tears of joy because they have been unable to see for so many years. --So folks, keep those old eye glasses coming and place them in the container provided by the mailboxes.

MISSIONS

WHY CONTRIBUTE TO MISSIONS?

Romans 10:12-15 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Israel Rejects the Gospel: How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
